About the award
For the twenty-fifth year in a row, Canon and Visa pour l’Image will be presenting the prestigious
Canon Female Photojournalist Grant to an outstanding photographer in recognition of their contribution
to photojournalism.
The grant of €8,000 provides funding to support a compelling new project which will be exhibited at the 2026 festival.
This year, we are featuring Cynthia Boll, the winner of the 2024 grant, and her work on the social impact of the relocation of Indonesia’s capital city from Jakarta to the new capital, Nusantara, on the island of Borneo.
