About the award
In partnership with Images Evidence, Canon is pleased to launch the sixth edition of the Canon Video Grant - Short Film Documentary, which aims to encourage a video maker and/or photographer by awarding a grant of 8,000 euros donated by Canon, and lending them professional video equipment.
The Grant will enable the 2025 winner to finance his or her project.
The project will be presented as a teaser in September 2025, and the final version of the video report will be screened at the 2026 edition of the festival in Perpignan.
This year, we'll be presenting 2024 winner Alan Lau's completed project, "The Gordian Knot", about the slaughter of buffalo in Nepal.
